Course Overview

The Bachelor of Economics (Energy) (Honours) is offered by the College of Energy Economics and Social Sciences. It was created to give students strong knowledge of economics and energy that matches what employers need. The programme introduces students to the specific areas of the economics discipline and the energy industry. By the time they graduate, students should have a firm, thorough grasp of the principles of economics and the part it plays in the energy sector, so they can apply it in business and corporate settings. The courses are deliberately structured to build both theoretical and practical knowledge before students move into the energy services sector or go on to further study.

Entry Requirements

Academic

• Entry requirements differ from country to country. Check the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) list of recognised secondary-level qualifications, which UNITEN links on its page.

• For diploma-level entry, a qualification equivalent to a Diploma or Advanced Diploma (MQF Level 4 or 5) with a CGPA of at least 2.00 is accepted.

English Language

You must show one of the following scores to enrol:

• MUET Band 3.5 or higher

• IELTS 5.5 or higher

• TOEFL 500 or higher, or TOEFL iBT 46 or higher

If you don’t meet this requirement, you must take UNITEN’s Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the required level before starting your Bachelor’s programme.
