Course Overview

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Visual Media) (Hons) is offered by UNITEN’s College of Computing & Informatics. It is designed for students with a keen interest in informatics, especially visual media. The programme aims to produce creative-technocrats by covering the wide range of digital media applications and teaching the technical skills used to design and edit digital media.

This mix of courses equips students to produce their own creative digital media content, bridging traditional IT disciplines and creative visual media. Its tagline is “where digital art meets computing technology”. Animation and Visual Effects is the listed specialisation area.

Entry Requirements

Academic

• Entry requirements differ from country to country. Check the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) list of recognised secondary-level qualifications, which UNITEN links on its page.

• A diploma in a related field (computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems or equivalent) is accepted.

• A diploma in science and technology or business studies is accepted as an other-field route.

• UNITEN’s Foundation in Information Technology also leads into this degree.

• MUET Band 3.5 or higher

• IELTS 5.5 or higher

• TOEFL 500 or higher, or TOEFL iBT 46 or higher
